Asheville, NC is one of the top art destinations across the Southeast. It is a city rich with culture, crafts, music and arts. This city has hundreds of art galleries, art studios and art events. With over 30 art galleries, there are a handful that stand out from the rest. Some of the best art galleries are the Bella Vista Art Gallery, Jonas Gerard Fine Art, Woolworth Walk and the Blue Spiral 1.
The Bella Vista Art Gallery features pieces of art from modern, emerging artists and mid-career artists. It is a must-see if you are looking for new, modern art and works of local artists. The Blue Spiral 1 is a lot bigger than the Bella Vista Art gallery. It is a three-floor, 15,000 square-foot artist gallery that features work of Southern artists. The Blue Spiral 1 offers very diverse tastes and aesthetics to the gallery viewer including fine art, paintings and sculptures of wood, glass, clay, fiber and steel. This gallery has 15 annual shows and 75 regular artists. Woolworth Walk is as diverse as Blue Spiral 1, with over 150 artists and paintings, sculptures, jewelry and crafts. The Woolworth Walk is known as Asheville’s largest local artist gallery.
